What this website keeps

This page says exactly what yatralounge.com records, why, and for how long. It is short because there is not much of it.

When you book or write to us

The booking form and the contact form keep what you typed into them — your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, the date and time you plan to visit, how many guests, whether you would like shower access, and your message. The request is stored in the lounge’s own database, emailed to the lounge’s inbox so the team can answer you, and we send you a confirmation by email. If you are signed in to a guest account when you send it, the request is linked to that account. Nothing you send us is sold or shared with anyone outside the lounge.

If you make an account

When you register with an email and password, we keep your name, your email address, and a one-way scrambled version of your password — the original is never stored or readable. If you sign in with Google instead, we keep the name, email address and profile picture that Google shows us, and the credentials Google hands back stay on our server, only to keep the sign-in working. You can also choose to add a timezone and a location to your account. Accounts have a role (guest or staff) so the right people can reach the lounge’s management screens.

When you just read a page

Every page opened here is counted. For each visit we record the page itself, a short random code kept in your browser’s session storage — not a cookie, and gone when you close the tab — the website that linked you here if one did, your browser and device type, and the country the request came from, which our hosting platform, Vercel, reports. Vercel also runs its own privacy-friendly analytics for aggregated performance. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and nothing that follows you to another website.

Cookies

Reading the site sets no tracking cookies. If you sign in to an account, we set a session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to an hour. Signing in with Google, and the Google map on our contact page, involve Google’s own services, which set cookies on Google’s domains under Google’s rules — not ours.

How long it is kept

Bookings and enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful to answer and to run the lounge, and are deleted on request. Account details are kept while the account exists; write to us and we will close it and remove what we hold. Page-view counts are kept because they are how the lounge understands which parts of the website are useful, and they identify nobody.

Who can see it

Only the lounge’s own management and staff, and the developers who maintain this website. We do not sell, rent or trade any of it.

Asking for it to be removed

Write to yatralounge11@gmail.com and we will delete what we hold about you. You do not have to give a reason. If you would like to know what that is first, ask and we will tell you.
